I had some extra time while performing an engine run on one of our jets in Iraq, so I ran a flight control self test just to weed out any problems and ensure that everything else was ready to go on the jet so we could return it to service for its next mission. Once I "warm up" the flight controls and engage the self test, the flight control computer has the control from there on and runs it thr...

On deployment to Iraq, one of our block 30 F-16c models had a generator failure. The 60 KVA (main) generator was replaced and I had to run the jet to perform ops' checks. Enjoy!!

I remember watching the ground crew doing these start-up tests when I was in Japan. I always wondered why they made so much noise before the engine started up. I loved being a hvac tech in the USAF. We got to see really cool stuff, like this, by just doing our job.
Hope you got an LoR for wearing that damn watch while doing maintenance and unauthorized use of an electronic device on the flightline. Clown.

60KVA generator? wow that's actually a fairly huge amount considering 200Amp electrical service in a home is about 43-45KVA peak
Bro people who play DCS LOL could easily fly this in the Ukraine WAR LMAO we will just need to know how to use the radar that's it but DCS pilots know 98% of the on board computer systems and how to use them

Falcon BMS manual says it shouldn't go above 750 or else it's a hotstart and you should unidle to 200C yet here it went way above that and he just carried on as if it's ok to do. Am I missing something here? or is it just for longterm maintenance purposes?

That's crazy how accurate the start sequences is in DCS. Everything seemed familiar to me.
Falcon bms is more accurate

Amazing, asides from emotions that are unknown to me and the physical aspect of flying an F16, what I can say is that I KNOW THIS AIRCRAFT hhahaha :D Great video! Made my day <3 DCS taught me how to operate and fly the F16 <3
